1. Acceptance

By creating an account or texting James, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

James is an AI personal secretary that responds to text messages over SMS and WhatsApp. With your consent, James can read your Gmail, manage your Google Calendar, draft and send email replies, and create calendar events.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account, for the phone number you verify, and for the Google account you connect.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use James to send spam, harass others, or violate any law.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, overwhelm, or abuse the service.
  • You are responsible for any emails or calendar invites James sends on your behalf at your request.

5. AI output

James uses third-party AI models. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete. Review important messages and events before relying on them. We are not liable for the consequences of AI-generated content sent at your direction.

6. Messaging charges

Standard SMS, MMS, and data rates from your carrier may apply. WhatsApp messaging is subject to WhatsApp's own terms.

7. Third-party services

James integrates with Google, Twilio, and other providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Termination

You can stop using James at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a security risk.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, James and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from missed messages, missed events, or AI errors.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
